Bucharest · Lawyer, member of the Bucharest Bar

Cristina De Lazzero

Rigour. Discretion. Personal commitment.

Legal advice and representation for individuals and companies, in Romania and abroad. Every matter is handled personally, from the first conversation to its final resolution.

About

26 years of practice, brought to bear on every matter.

I have practised as a lawyer in Bucharest for 26 years, in contentious and non-contentious matters, for individuals and companies. The experience gained in negotiations, in court and in transactions serves a simple purpose: a clear-eyed assessment of each situation before any step is taken.

  • I build the legal strategy for each matter and explain it to the client before taking action.
  • I attend the key moments in person: negotiations, signings before the notary, court hearings.
  • Where a case requires it, I work alongside independent experts, auditors and notaries with whom I have collaborated for many years.
  • I advise foreign clients — companies and individuals — directly in English and Italian, without intermediaries.
  • I take on a limited number of matters, so as to give each one the time it requires.

Practice areas

Eight areas of practice.

Each matter receives its own analysis and a strategy built around the specific circumstances. Where mediation or arbitration serves the client’s interests better than litigation, I say so openly.

Article I

Family law

Divorce, exercise of parental authority, contact arrangements with children, child maintenance, division of matrimonial property and claims arising from the marriage — handled with the discretion that private life demands.

Article II

Civil law

Contractual and tortious liability, enforcement of obligations to perform, actions for recovery of property, boundary disputes, and succession proceedings before a notary or the courts.

Article III

Advice for companies

Reviewing and drafting contracts, legal support for day-to-day operations, acquisition of a business or going concern, debt recovery.

Article IV

Trade Register (company law formalities)

Company incorporations, transfers of shares, amendments to articles of association, changes of registered office, branch offices, deregistrations and dissolutions — handled from start to finish, with no unnecessary trips on your part.

Article V

Employment law

For companies — disciplinary investigations, termination of employment contracts, occupational diseases, employment disputes.

For employees — challenges to employer decisions, employment disputes.

Article VI

Real estate law

Advice and representation in property transactions, review of the documentation, liaison with the notary — all structured around your interests.

Article VII

Administrative law

Change of name and of identity documents, as well as other administrative procedures for individuals and legal entities.

Article VIII

Administrative offences

Challenges to administrative fines, assistance in regaining a suspended driving licence, challenges to abusive measures taken by the authorities.

Is your situation not listed above? Write to me — I will tell you plainly, from our first conversation, whether I can help.

How we work together

Four stages, nothing left to improvisation.

  1. 01

    First conversation

An initial, confidential conversation in which I listen to your situation and assess what is genuinely at stake.

  2. 02

    Assessment and strategy

I review the documents and propose a clear strategy, with the options and risks set out openly.

  3. 03

    Direct involvement

I personally coordinate and follow every hearing, negotiation and signing — the matter is never passed on to someone else.

  4. 04

    Resolution

I keep you informed at every step, until the case is finally resolved.

How I work

Four working principles.

  • Clarity

    Clarity over complexity

Every strategy is explained plainly, with options and risks set out openly, before any action is taken.

  • Continuity

    A single point of contact

You work directly with me, from the first conversation to the final signature.

  • Rigour

    Deadlines followed personally

Every procedural stage and every deadline is monitored closely, keeping you informed in good time.

  • Discretion

    Professional secrecy

Everything we discuss is protected by the lawyer’s duty of professional secrecy, whatever the nature of the case.

Beyond the office

Still Your Children Foundation

Parents may cease to be a couple, but they can never cease to be parents.

For years, as a lawyer, I have said the same words to separating parents: “Your children are in no way to blame for the fact that the two of you no longer get along. They will remain your children for as long as you live.” The foundation I am now establishing grew out of those words.

Still Your Children will bring together, under one roof, the lawyer, the psychologist, the mediator and a safe place where the child is listened to and seen by both parents.
